Resort name is also written as Rosa Khutor (Sochi).
I was there mid-Jan to mid-Feb 2015.
Mostly skied Khutor (940-2480m), with a few days at what is now called Gorky Gorod (900-2375m.
Both ski areas had efficient lift systems, big, steep, rowdy terrain and no shortage of snow.
From the base levels at 900-940m up to about 1200-1300m things could get a little soggy at times.
Above 1300m, the quality was always good, and that on a season considered only fair to middling by the locals.
A Rosa Khutor-Alpika Servis-Gorky Gorod interconnection (which would only require a couple of lifts and a few pistes and cat tracks) would be comparable to a French mega-station in size, with over twice the snowfall.
Prices for lift passes, food and booze were very reasonable.
If not for visa rigmarole, I'd be there at least every second year.
