Russ Stewart from Canada writes:

I skied with my family at Calabogie in February following a fresh dump of show. We were all very excited to go but the new snow could not cover the crap this hill dishes out. The lodge is run down, dirty and has bland overpriced food. The roof was leaking and now leaves me wondering if the structural integrity has been compromised. Pack a lunch and leave your items in the new shed that appears to have been built in the past year or two. Are they preparing for the old lodge collapse?
The hill has a number of runs but the slow chair lift is annoying. I also hear that they are no longer allowing the local race team kids to use the hill to ski. I guess it’s trying to serve the +65 crowd. Do yourself a favour, go to one of the other hills in the area and enjoy the atmosphere and runs.
