Verbier Opening Early - This Friday
Verbier has announced it will open limited terrain for skiing from this Friday, 11 November.
“For the past few days, Verbier’s ski slopes have been turning white and everything is in place to herald the start of the season,” a resort statement says, continuing, “Thanks to the snowfall of the last few weeks and to snowmaking, we can open the Lac piste des Vaux from this Friday, November 11 in excellent conditions.”
The first skiers and boarders arriving on Friday morning will be offered a free coffee and croissant and there’ll be a 20% discount on a one-day lift pass. The Lac des Vaux 1 chairlift and Lac des Vaux ski slope will be open from 9am to 4pm.
During the month of November, the opening is scheduled every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) with daily opening scheduled to begin from December 3rd.
“The opening of the Attelas-Ruinettes sector will take place as soon as possible depending on the weather situation,” the statement adds.
The Le Châble – Verbier gondola will operate from 5:15 a.m. to 11:50 p.m and the Médran 2 gondola from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Friday only). The Barnes Lines gondola will be open on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 November from 8:45am to 4:15pm.
