Wolf Creek announced they’ll open for 7-day-a-week operations beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, for its 85th Ski Season.
Multiple ski areas across the US started snowmaking at the weekend and there was widespread snowfall too, with some quite significant 4-10 inch (10-25cm) accumulations after the warmer-than-usual first half of October in many areas. However wolf Creek did particularly well with a 21!” (53cm) storm total over the past 72 hours. More snowfall is forecast today.
Wolf Creek, which has been the first to open on several other occasions in the past decade, say that their Bonanza, Treasure, and Nova Lifts will be operating from 9am Tuesday giving access to roughly 30% of the mountain.
“To kick off Wolf Creek’s 85th Anniversary, Opening Day festivities will take place with skiers and boarders who are wearing the anniversary colors of red and gold receiving a commemorative 85th anniversary sticker. There will be fun events and activities throughout the season that offer skiers and boarders a chance to win prizes and swag,” a resort statement adds.
