Tour Op Seeks Unwanted Skiwear Donations For Xmas Gift To Homeless Charities
Tour operator Erna Low is asking skiers and boarders to donate any unwanted old winter clothing which they’ll then donate to two homeless charities as the temperatures plummet.
“It is impossible to underestimate the impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having across the world and the evidence is showing that those that are being hardest hit are some of the most vulnerable. If we can help even a little bit then that will be great,” said Jane Bolton, Erna Low’s Managing Director.
Items will be distributed to two London charities, Ealing Soup Kitchen and Acton Homeless Concern, both of which have said any donations will be very gratefully received.
The company are asking people to send in any good quality, used winter clothing that they no longer need to help people stay warm. Ski jackets, thermals, gloves, hats and even socks are all welcome.
“Please only donate clean items that will be warm with functioning zips etc. We regret we will be unable to wash any items,” added Jane.
Items should be sent to Erna Low c/o Jane Bolton, 28 Dorset Road, London. W5 4HU. Small parcel postage should cover most items (up to a total weight of 2KG) and costs approximately £3 with Royal Mail (£3.10 in post offices, £2.95 for online pay and drop).
As a thank you for donations all those who send gear in will be entered in to a draw with a chance to win a pair of Sungod Goggles worth over £100 which will be drawn on 21st December, 2020
