SCOTLAND REPORT
Scottish centres set a seasonal high for open terrain last weekend, with Glencoe, Glenshee, and Cairngorm posting that 30 of their combined nearly 80 ski slopes were open. The Lecht had a couple of runs open too, thanks to their all-weather snowmaking, while Nevis Range is in the final week of a month-long site closure before a planned reopening for the February school holidays, conditions permitting.
SCOTLAND FORECAST
An improving picture heading into the latter half of this week, with temperatures gradually decreasing. Daytime highs will still be in positive numbers, but overnight lows will increasingly drop below zero, which is obviously better news for fresh snow cover.
