SCOTLAND REPORT
After the big thaw set in at the start of last week in the Scottish Highlands, ending a period of very low temperatures and some natural snowfall, there’s unfortunately not been any great improvement, although temperatures have dipped somewhat from their double-digit highs. The four centres that have all-weather snowmaking systems have therefore reverted to small snow areas maintained with these machines. Cairngorm and The Lecht use theirs mostly to offer beginner slopes, Glencoe mostly for a sledging slope and Glenshee has some short runs and beginner terrain.
SCOTLAND FORECAST
A fairly promising forecast with temperatures on Scottish mountains set to remain at or close to freezing and precipitation expected to be snow at higher levels, sleet and rain lower down.
