Pink Skis Raise Awareness For Breast Cancer Research
EDL Skis are working with leading ski rental network Skiset to rent and sell a limited-edition pink ski in support of breast cancer research.
EDL, a new Swiss brand of top-of-the-range, traditionally crafted skis, is working with leading ski rental network Skiset, launched a limited-edition pink ski in support of breast cancer research.
The partnership sees €200 donated to the Gustave Roussy Institute, Europe’s leading cancer research centre, for every pair of the pink skis that are sold.
EDL SKI combines traditional craftsmanship with alpine culture to offer top-of-the-range products designed to enhance the pleasure of skiing.
The company’s name, derived from the edelweiss - star of the glaciers and symbolic flower of the Alps, is pronounced Edel, which means noble in German.
Each pair of skis features a picture of the Alps as seen from Villars – Les Diablerets, symbolising the brand’s heartland. Designed in Nyon and Villars-sur-Ollon in Switzerland.
EDL skis are handcrafted in Italy in respect of alpine traditions, just a few kilometres from the Swiss border.
200 pairs of the pink skis have been created this winter, 180 pairs for France and 20 pairs produced for Switzerland. The limited-edition ski is based on the EDL Cobalt, one of the flagship models in the EDL SKI collection, designed exclusively for recreational use and awarded the Coup de Coeur 2023 in the female on slope category by the French magazine Ski Chrono.
The pink model, with colour-coordinated EDL 312 bindings, is available in two lengths, 158 cm and 164 cm and retails at €990 (excluding bindings).
They can be purchased or rented at €37 per day exclusively from Skiset partner stores.
