After more than a metre (40”) of snowfall this month, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has announced  that the seventh annual Kings & Queens of Corbet’s ski and snowboard freeride invitational will kick off later today, Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. MST and can be viewed from anywhere in the world with free live coverage online.

This year’s Kings & Queens event will bring together a star-studded roster of skiers and snowboarders to the resort’s famous Corbet’s Couloir, including past champions Colby Stevenson and Claire McPherson (2023) as well as Piper Kunst (2021) and Veronica Paulsen (2020).

JMHR will award a total of $50,000 in prize money for the 2024 Kings & Queens of Corbet’s competition, and separate awards will be given for the top male and female performers in both the ski and snowboard categories for the first time in the event’s history.

The winners in each of the four categories will be awarded $5,000, while the second-place finishers will take home $3,000 and the third-place finishers will claim $2,000. JHMR also announced that a $5,000 bonus will be given to the highest-scoring male and female athlete regardless of discipline, and those two competitors will be named the King and Queen of Corbet’s.
