African Ski Resort Celebrates Olympics With Skiing for 100 Youngsters

Afriski ski resort in Lesotho, Southern Africa, in partnership with the Lesotho National Olympic Committee have celebrated the Paris Olympics by inviting 100 young people from the country to try out winter sports.

Afriski ski resort in Lesotho, Southern Africa, in partnership with the Lesotho National Olympic Committee have celebrated the Paris Olympics by inviting 100 young people from the country to try out winter sports.

“This event is all about giving children a unique opportunity to dive into winter sports like skiing and snowboarding, which are usually underrepresented in our region,” an Afriski spokesperson said.

100 young participants, aged 9 to 15 took part thanks to the partnership between the resort and the Olympic Committee.

“We're so excited by the first-ever Lesotho National Olympic Committee Afriski Winter Sports Extravaganza …bringing an unforgettable ski experience to life with young participants not only getting active but also learning valuable life skills such as collaboration, discipline, and resilience as they hit the slopes and made memories that will last a lifetime!” the Afriski spokesperson continued.
