Visitor Reviews of Coronet Peak

Debbie Maqueen from AUSTRALIA writes:

We had lots of snow at CP, so that was good! I too found the lifts very slow. A lot of resorts in Europe and also now OZ are operating high speed lifts, not so at CP. The runs are pretty short and coupled with slow lifts you spend a lot of time off the snow, which for some people is ok, but I like to be on the snow. The ticket system is also antiquated and really needs an upgrade. The lift queues weren't big but were very disorganised and resembled a rugby scrum at times. Overall my impression of skiing is NZ is that someone needs a kick up the bum. I've skied Remarks and CP and they are not even close to average resorts in Europe. Both resorts very obviously need $$ for them to compete with Europe/North America.
